Whats the difference between a Conventional Boiler, Heat only Regular Boiler and System Boiler ?
Regular Boiler, Heat only and Convesntinal Boiler are all both same thing, its just gas safe engineers and
plumbers call them different names.
Regular Boiler, Heat only and Conventional Boiler – this type of boiler has a natural gas supply and a flow
and return pipe only. In order for this boiler to work it needs a permanent live supply (often not there on existing
wiring) an external central heating pump (aka circulkator) and loft open ‘feed & expansion tank’ or closed
expansion vessel.
System Boiler, this type of boiler has a natural gas supply and a flow and return pipe only. The boiler has a
central ehating pump built inside the boiler and aslo has a ‘expansion vessel’ built inside the boiler.
System Boilers and Regular Boilers both require an external hot water tank
